A COMPENDIUM OF MEASURES OF INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS RELEVANT TO THE STUDY OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR.

Abstract

An attempt is being made to classify measures of variables that have been used in the past to measure individuals in groups which are embedded in organizational settings which themselves are in a sociocultural environment. This listing of measures is organized by the classification scheme developed earlier, (Indik, 1963) and more recently modified (Indik, 1965). A compendium of information is being prepared with reference to each measure of each variable (individual, group or organizational) in order to make available the pertinent data (or lack thereof) as to the adequacy of information with reference to the reliability and the validity of the measures of these variables. The size of the first printing of the compendium will be dependent on the expressed interest and demand that is shown for the report.
