PRINCIPAL PROBLEMS OF EPIDEMIOLOGICAL GEOGRAPHY. 2. THE NOTION OF NOSOLOGICAL AREAS

Abstract

The distribution of infectious and parasitic diseases is discussed. The geographical distribution of infections and infestations is explained by the nature of the causative agent, living conditions, and historical reasons. Since the regularities of distribution of these diseases are diverse, their study calls for a comprehensive analysis of a great many factors of a biological and social order.
