PPI VIDICON SIGNAL GENERATOR.

Abstract

Synthetic PPI scanned information is generated by radial scanning of a vidicon exposed to an image from an optical slide projector. This is actually a flyingspot-scanner scanned radially instead of in a raster mode. The output signal may be displayed on a longpersistence display device scanned in the PPI mode. The circuitry and operation of the experimental setup are discussed. (Author)
