Abstract

This report describes the activity associated with step-frequency oblique soundings in Norway during the period from March 1962 to September 1964. Experimental data are given. General considerations pertaining to oblique soundings are presented, along with a brief review of some related works performed hitherto. Theoretical deductions elaborated from a set of models are described. Characteristic observational features are illustrated by means of selected examples, and explanations are offered when possible. The communicational aspect of the experiments is dealt with in one of the chapters. (Author)
