THE USE OF PROCUREMENT SOURCE AS A PREDICTOR OF SUCCESS IN TRAINING.

Abstract

The procurement source of entering flight students was subjected to the pseudo-variable technique of Wherry, Jr., and then evaluated for its value as a predictor of successful completion of flight training. The inclusion of procurement source into the multiple prediction formulae resulted in increased prediction validity for all three criteria: Complete versus Attrite, DOR versus Other, and Flight Failure versus Other.
