THERMODYNAMICS OF SOLUTIONS BASED ON A NEW MODEL OF BOND LENGTHS,

Abstract

A useful model of solid solutions was developed through the application of Bergman's model for calculating elastic properties of metals. The latter model is based on Pauling's empirical relation between interatomic distance and bond number. In this way, it was hoped to take into account the effects of electron transfer.
