EXPERIMENTAL MAST SECTION JOINT DEVELOPMENT.
Abstract
A study was made using four specimen joints of a fast-lock sleeve design. The joining techniques used were welding, and epoxy bond. The epoxy use was varied; the method of application was varied; and the amount of heat and/or pressure used to distribute the epoxy was varied. The study was extended to include tests of the production joint from Mast AB-577/G which uses the Marman Clamp. These test results are compared. (Author)
