ON FLICKER FUSION TESTS AS A MEASURE OF FATIGUE IN AVIATORS,

Abstract

Flicker fusion frequency was determined repeatedly in 32 pilot instructors before and after a working day. No significant correlation was discovered between the alteration in flicker fusion frequency and the state of fatigue. Conclusions: In this study, the flicker fusion test offered no promise as an objective measure of fatigue in aviation. (Author)
