COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR THE ANALYSIS OF VISIBLE SPECTROMETRIC DATA: CHROMATICITY,

Abstract

The report includes a detailed description of a computer program used with an IBM 1620 computer to reduce and analyze spectrometric data from the visible spectrum. Included is a point by point outline of the operations performed by the program and discussion of its uses, which are to calibrate the spectrometer from collected data and to determine and print out the system response of the spectrometer and relative energy distribution vs wavelength, relative luminous intensity (candlepower) and the x, y, and z chromaticity coordinates for an unknown. The necessary information for computer input and a suggested format for recording this data is outlined, along with instructions for key-punching the input data cards and instructions for the computer operator. The FORTRAN statements for the program are included. (Author)
