AURORAL ZONE PEARL PULSATIONS,

Abstract

During the period August 16 to September 20, 1964, magnetic micropulsations were continuously recorded at Flin Flon, Manitoba, geomagnetic coordinates (63.6 N, 314.8). The purpose of these recordings was to obtain information on the characteristics of micropulsations at these latitudes and examine the possibility of a relationship of micropulsations to electron precipitation. Simultaneous information on electrons was obtained from a number of high altitude balloon flights carrying x-ray detectors. (Author)
