ADHESIVE BONDING OF TITANIUM AND ITS ALLOYS.

Abstract

The report covers the state of the art of adhesive bonding of titanium and its alloys and is oriented toward the interests of the designer and the manufacturing engineer. In it are described typical joint designs, surface preparation procedures, types of adhesives used for bonding, environmental factors as they influence choice among available adhesives, processing techniques, representative applications of adhesive bonding, and available test results on adhesive-bonded titanium alloys.
