CHEMICAL STUDIES ON FUNGICIDES. PART III. SYNTHESIS OF ALPHA BROMOAMIDES.
Abstract
Good methods for acylating in ethylene dichloride or in a two-phase system are presented. Forty-six compounds in two series, the alpha-bromoacetamides and the alphabromopropionamides, were synthesized and characterized preliminary to fungicidal evaluation. The importance of preparing series of compounds for fungicidal study is pointed out. (Author)
