WEAK BOUNDARY COMPONENTS OF AN OPEN RIEMANN SURFACE.

Abstract

This thesis is concerned with finding tests for a weak boundary component. (A boundary component is called weak if it has vanishing capacity). Sufficient conditions are derived which ensure that a boundary component be weak. The criteria obtained are valid, not only for planar surfaces but for arbitrary open Riemann surfaces as well.
