ON THE LIFTING PROPERTY (IV). DISINTEGRATION OF MEASURES,

Abstract

The notion of a strong lifting is introduced. Conditions whereby a lifting may be a strong lifting are given. It is shown that a strong linear lifting implies the existence of a strong lifting. Theorems are proved on the disintegration of measures, using the notion of strong lifting. The notion of 'appropriate family of measures', which replaces Bourbaki's notion of 'adequate family', is introduced.
