EVALUATION OF CERTAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TYPE A-14 OXYGEN MASK WITH BAFFLES OVER THE MASK INLET PORTS.

Abstract

Certain characteristics of the A-14 oxygen mask with baffles were investigated in the laboratory and in the low Pressure Chambers under both normal and chill conditions at ground level and at simulated altitudes. Specifically investigated were: the effectiveness of the baffles in preventing freezing; the comfort of the mask; the likelihood of leakage of the mask.
