A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SILANES,

Abstract

The invention involves a process for producing silanes containing hydrogen as well as OR-groups attached to the silicon atom. Halosilanes containing SiH-groups are made to react with alcohols or phenols of the formula ROH, where R designates an alkyl or aryl radical without active hydrogen; furthermore, the process is characterized by the fact that the reaction is performed in the presence of an acid acceptor which is insoluble in the reaction mixture. The reaction may be performed in the presence of an inert solvent. (Author)
