SENSITIZED FLUORESCENCE

Abstract

The total deexcitation cross-section for the excited (63P1) state of mercury by thallium, as determined by quenching of resonance fluorescence, is given for three temperatures. Preliminary results on the cross-sections for excitation transfer from mercury to thallium are tabulated.
