APPROXIMATION OF THE DIRAC DENSITY MATRIX,

Abstract

The properties of a fermion system in the ground state, in the one particle approximation, are determinable from the Dirac density matrix. An improved formula for the Dirac density matrix, containing a correction for grad V, is proposed.
