LONGITUDINAL STABILITY OF ONE-DIMENSIONAL FLOW OF A CONDUCTING GAS,

Abstract

The stability of short-wave longitudinal oscillations in one-dimensional flow of a gas with finite conductivity in a magnetic field is investigated. Defrosted oscillations are considered taking into account large and small thermal conductivity. Expressions are obtained which determine the variation in wave amplitude along the flow. (Author)
