ON THE APPLICABILITY OF A MONODIMENSIONAL MODEL IN DESCRIBING THE STATIONARY FLOW OF A VISCOUS INCOMPRESSIBLE LIQUID IN A CYLINDRICAL PIPE WITH PERVIOUS WALLS,

Abstract

Flow of liquid in pipes is usually described on the basis of a monodimensional system. The irregularity in the distribution of hydrodynamic flow parameters in transverse section is considered the introduction into equation of motion of coefficients, the magnitude of which depends upon the flow condition of the liquid (1,2). In this report the possibility is analyzed of such an approach to a stable flow in a cylindrical pipe with porous walls, through which the liquid is fed.
