DEVICE FOR MEASURING THE DURATION OF PULSE FRONTS IN TIME INTERVALS,

Abstract

Object of the Invention: A device for measuring the duration of fronts and intervals of time which contains a converter of the measurable interval into a pulse, the length of which is equal to the measurable interval, a pulse expander, a counter of the number of pulses developed by a standard generator during the time of the action of the pulse obtained on the output of the pulse expander which has the distinguishing feature that for the purpose of improving the precision of the measurement of short, for example, nanosecond intervals of time, as a pulse expander there is used a semiconductor triode with a circuit transformer feedback into which there is connected a collector-emitter transition (shunt) of a semiconductor triode, and the source of the pulses converted as to length is joined through a semiconductor diode with the base of an auxiliary triode.
