CALCULATED PHOTOIONIZATION CROSS SECTION OF HELIUM AND THE ALKALAIS.

Abstract

The use of the model orbitals for the active electron orbital in the continuum leads to cross sections is shown to be in good agreement (except lithium) with experiment. However for systems in their ground state it is generally necessary to perform a numerical integration.
