A METHOD OF DETECTING SUPERCONDUCTING INTERMETALLIC COMPOUNDS,

Abstract

The object of the invention is a method of detecting superconducting intermetallic compounds in specimens of different metals and their compounds which is based on the determination of a change in the magnetic field and which is distinguished by the fact that, for the purpose of more rapidly determining the composition of a superconducting compound, the investigated specimen, consisting of two metals or alloys, first is subjected to a brief diffusion roasting (annealing), and then there acts on it a uniform magnetic field, and by the change in the magnetic force lines using known methods one determines the properties of the composition of the superconducting compound.
