PRELIMINARY STUDY OF NEUTRON ACTIVATION ANALYSIS SERVICE: GAMMA-RAY SCINTILLATION SPECTROMETRY AND SPECTRUM ANALYSIS.

Abstract

This thesis is divided into three main parts: A study of the general considerations of Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA); Instrumental approach to gamma-ray spectrum analysis including the assembly of a scintillation spectrometer based on Heath's layout and comparison of data with his spectrum data; Comparative least-squares gamma-ray spectrum analysis of a composite spectrum using an IBM 7094 II Computer is developed.
