MODEL POLYETHERS I. SYNTHESIS BY THE WILLIAMSON REACTION,
Abstract
Model polyalkylene ethers H((CH2)xO)y(CH2)xH and trialkyleneglycols OH((CH2)xO)3H, where x=4, 5, 6 and 10 and y=2, 3 and 4, were synthesized by the Williamson reaction. Attempts to prepare the corresponding compounds where x=3 were only partly successful.
