THE FORMATION OF F-CENTERS IN SOLID SOLUTIONS OF KC1-KBR,
Abstract
The relationships of F-center concentration in Kcl-KBr solid solutions to x-ray exposure and to solid solution percentage composition were determined. The typical concentration vs. exposure plot shows a rapid nonlinear initial growth of F-centers, followed by a slow linear growth. F-center concentration was found to decrease nearly additvely with increasing KBr content.
