ON THE STRUCTURES OF SOME HYDROXO SALTS OF AL3+, GA3+, IN3+, AND TL3+,

Abstract

A survey is presented of the crystal structures of some hydroxide sulfates and selenates of Al3+, Ga3+, In3+, and Tl3+. Their relations to other structures, particularly to those of the hydroxides, are discussed and an attempt is made to relate the structures of the metal-oxygen complexes in the solids with the composition of the polynuclear complexes determined from investigations on hydrolyzed solutions.
