CALCULATION OF THE ENERGY-ANGULAR RELATIONSHIP FOR NEUTRONS FROM A NEUTRON GENERATOR.

Abstract

A relativistic calculation is made to determine the energy of neutrons emitted from the NCEL neutron generator as a function of the angle of emission. Both the tritium reaction, T(d,n)He4, with a neutron energy of approximately 14 Mev, and the deuterium reaction, D(d,n)He3, with a neutron energy of approximately 2.5 Mev, are considered. Values of neutron energy as a function of angle are tabulated and plotted. (Author)
