SOME PROBLEMS ON THE PERFORMANCE AND MEASUREMENTS IN A WIND TUNNEL AT LOW VELOCITY.

Abstract

Experimental researches were begun some years ago in order to study the pressure gradient effect on boundary layer transition along a flat plate. Many inconveniences where encountered: they were concerning the turbulence of the free stream, the measurement of differential pressures and of velocities very low, the interference of noises on the hot wire signal. In this research is shown the study made upon these subjects and the methods used to remove some of the difficulties encountered in order to improve the measurements. (Author)
