ADAPTATION TO DELAYED SIDE-TONE 1.

Abstract

The side-tone of speakers was delayed while 60 phrases were read. These 60 phrases were read slower and louder than phrases read without delayed side-tone. There was no trend demonstrated during the course of reading the 60 phrases to indicate that speakers adapted to delayed side-tone. There was some increase in the loudness with which the first few phrases were read. (Author)
