VALIDATION OF THE WEST POINT SELFDESCRIPTION BLANK,

Abstract

The paper is one of a series of studies on the development of a self-description blank for possible use with other selection measures in identifying candidates for West Point who are likely to be rated low on aptitude for military service. The primary purpose of this study was the development and evaluation of scoring keys for this blank. Some findings on methods of selecting items and on types of item content are discussed.
