ESTIMATION OF THE PARAMETERS OF THE EXTREME VALUE DISTRIBUTION BY ORDER STATISTICS.

Abstract

An estimation of the parameters for the first type (or exponential type) of asymptotic distribution, this paper deals with (1) the best linear unbiased estimate for n < or = 6 (largest value) and the case of missing data, (2) the nearly best linear unbiased estimate for n < or = 25 (n = 1 (1) 10 (5) 25) with all possible cases of singly and doubly censored samples, and (3) estimating the percentage points.
