EQUATIONS FOR COMBINED RIGID BODY AND VIBRATIONAL PLANE MOTION OF A FREE-FREE BEAM,

Abstract

Equations are derived for a free-free beam whose plane motion is a combination of rigid body motion and vibrational motion. After separating the vibrational motion from the rigid body motion, the concepts of effective force, mass, and stiffness are introduced for use in solving the vibration equation. (Author)
