COOLING THE MOVING BLADES OF GAS TURBINES WITH A LIQUID-METAL HEAT-TRANSFER AGENT,

Abstract

Evaporative cooling assures high efficiency and less complexity of the working blades, as compared with air cooling. At the same time, with evaporative cooling it is necessary to replenish the water by means of a special distillation apparatus.
