DESCRIPTION OF AN/UYK PROGRAM FOR POINTING DATA FOR 60-FOOT DISH USING KEPLER ELEMENTS,

Abstract

The AN/UYK Program for pointing data for the 60 foot dish using Kepler elements is utilized for generating a paper tape with the proper format which can be fed into the equipment controlling the 60 foot dish antenna and point it in the proper direction at the desired time. This program would be used when the data is not available from the 7090 complex for the operation of the injection station. It could also be used to track a satellite, whose orbit is defined by Kepler parameters, which is not within the normal operational scope of the injection station.
