EXPERIMENTAL DETERMINATION OF FREQUENCIES AND MODE SHAPES OF CANTILEVER AND HUB-PIN PLATES.

Abstract

The report contains experimental data on the frequencies and mode shapes of vibrating plates. Data for the following plates are presented: a square cantilever plate; skew cantilever plates having sweep-back angles of 15, 30, 45, and 60 degrees; triangular cantilever plates having aspect ratios of 2 (45 degree triangle), 3.3, and 4; a square hubpin plate; and a 45 degree triangular hub-pin plate. Electrical and mechanical improvements to the system are described. (Author)
