ROCKET OPTICAL OBSERVATION OF A DAY-TIME AURORA.

Abstract

The preliminary results of a rocket optical observation of a day-time auroral event at Fort Churchill are reported. The variation with height of the intensity of the two lines 5577 A(OI) and 4278 A N2(+) are given and compared with a similar measurement of 5577 A line in the day airglow at White Sands. (Author)
