ATTENUATION OF VISIBLE AND INFRARED RADIATION BY ARTIFICIAL WATER FOGS (OSLABLENIE VIDIMOI I INFRAKRASNOI RADIATSII VODNYMI ISKUSTVENNYMI TUMANAMI),

Abstract

The results of theoretical and experimental studies of the optical and microphysical properties of artificial fogs are discussed. Quantitative data on the attenuation of infrared radiation in fogs obtained by taking into account polydispersion and absorption in water droplets are compared with results of experimental determinations of the spectral transmittance of fogs.
