Abstract
Sodium p-toluenethiolate reacts with tetrachloroethylene in refluxing ethanol to give trans-1,2-bis (p-tolylthio)- 1,2dichloroethylene. The structure is assigned on the basis of crystallographic and supporting data. (Author)
