PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR A GERMANIUM PNP POWER TRANSISTOR.

Abstract

This describes the electrical requirements that the germanium power transistor must meet to operate effectively in the desired application. A brief discussion of the important electrical parameters and how they can be optimized is given. The fabrication process for this germanium transistor is also presented. Engineering investigations designed to improve the reliability, the yields, and parameter distributions of this device are discussed and their results reported. (Author)
