THE FITTING OF DATA BY LEAST SQUARES TO NON-LINEARLY PARAMETERIZED FUNCTIONS,

Abstract

An iterative method is described for fitting data to a general non-linearly parameterized function, and details the numerical procedure for fitting data to determine certain constants arising from a chemical equilibrium problem. Procedures similar to the method described have been used by many authors to solve various function-fitting problems. (Author)
