THE CROSSLINKING OF SILOXAZANE ELASTOMERS.

Abstract

Means of crosslinking elastomers containing silicon-nitrogen (silazane) bonds in the main chain were investigated. Crosslinking was achieved by thermovulcanization, gamma radiation and several chemicals. However, these vulcanizates were not entirely satisfactory since they were tacky, porous and hydrolytically unstable. (Author, modified-PL).
