CONSTANT RELATIONSHIP HOIST DRIVE SYSTEM.

Abstract

The report covers the development and performance of the prototype Constant Relationship Hoist drive system built for test and evaluation for the U. S. Navy Bureau of Yards and Docks. This hoist system compensates for relative motion to give the operator control of the load. This is accomplished by feeding back into the regulator the relative motion of the unloading and loading stations and applying this signal into the drive system control to compensate the load for this relative motion.
