ELECTROPHILIC SUBSTITUTION AT SATURATED CARBON.

Abstract

A broad range of problems were studied. The problems studied can be summarized as follows: (1) the stereochemistry of carbanions, and the mechanism of anionic allylic rearrangements; (2) behavior of carbonium ions in unusual environments; (3) 1,2- and 1,3-asymmetric induction; (4) mechanism of E(i) reaction; (5) electrophilic substitution of diazocyclopentadiene.
