PRELIMINARY PILOT QUALITATIVE EVALUATION OF THE XV-5A RESEARCH AIRCRAFT

Abstract

The primary objective of the tests was to investigate those aircraft characteristics directly influenced by the Lift-Fan concept. The report contains the results of the preliminary pilot evaluation of the XV-5A aircraft during the stability and control portion of the U.S. Army flight test program.
