COMMUNICATION STUDIES ON TURSIOPS TRUNCATUS.

Abstract

During the year 1964 concentrated efforts were made in two directions: (1) the testing of the ability of Tursiops truncatus to reproduce the sounds of human speech and to respond vocally appropriately to a human dictating various kinds of materials to the dolphin. (2) The studies on the natural phonation capabilities of Tursiops truncatus were continued. (Author)
