TRAINING RESEARCH ON LOW ALTITUDE VISUAL AERIAL OBSERVATION: A DESCRIPTION OF FIVE FIELD EXPERIMENTS.

Abstract

The report discusses five field experiments conducted by the U. S. Army Aviation Human Research Unit, under Task OBSERVE. This Task was initiated in late 1957 in response to a request from the Department of the Army and the United States Continental Army Command to conduct research in aerial observation training. The purpose of the Task is to develop improved methods for training human air observers.
