ELECTRIC FIELD PATTERNS IN A FERRITE LOADED WAVEGUIDE.

Abstract

A rectangular waveguide loaded with a transversely magnetized ferrite slab is analyzed. The diagram, longitudinal propagation constant vs. distance of the ferrite slab from the side wall, is studied to get some information on the electric field patterns in the crossection of the guide. A numerical case of interest is studied with parameters having values between those used by Barzilai and Gerosa and those by Lax and Button. (Author)
