FREQUENCY MULTIPLIER.
Abstract
During this quarter, the following frequency multipliers were designed and fabricated: 50 to 100 Gc cross-guide type varactor doubler, 25 to 50 Gc in-line type varactor doubler, 8.333 to 25 Gc resonant cavity-type varactor tripler. Preliminary tests on the two varactor doublers were performed. Small outputs were obtained in both cases and both doublers are presently undergoing slight modifications to improve their operation efficiency. A 50 to 100 Gc in-line type varistor doubler also has been tested. The results of this test surpassed the varactor doubler performance by a small margin. (Author)
