HUMAN JUDGMENT AS A FACTOR IN THE GENERATION OF SHIPS' ALLOWANCE LISTS.

Abstract

A set of recommended research activities is outlined which would create and test a procedure for including human judgment in the allowance list generation process. Under the procedure, expert judgment from Naval personnel, engineers, and others would be systematically obtained, incorporated as part of an over-all model, and used to guide allowance list decision making behavior. A step-by-step account of work required to create a standardized procedure suitable for Navy-wide allowance list practice. (Author)
